A grave marker in Oswego Pioneer Cemetery

I had heard that Linus Pauling was buried

here in our little cemetery, but evidently from

the information below, this is only a grave marker.

When my youngest son was in high school he

called Linus Pauling for help on a science project.

Linus Pauling was so nice and gracious to my son

and gave him the help he was requesting.

  1. I believe I've run across Mr. Pauling's name a few times while reading Stephen Hawking's books, "The Universe in a Nutshell" and "Time: A Brief History"

How interesting that your son actually got to talk to him!

  2. Wasn't he the man who did the studies on vitamin C and heart disease? He made quite a name for himself with that study. How kind of him to help your son.

I love comments and so does my camera...........I have removed those pesky illegible word verifications for you as they are so irritating.
