The joys of home ownership-

Especially when the roof leaks.
Annoying whan previous owners are less than open
about the house and it's water tight integrity....or not.
We called in a roofer and the roof is now resealed around
the solar panels. When looking in the attic we could see
that the roof had leaked many times before.

Mango and Orange Salad
My family loves their "Kathe" salads.
This one has mango and oranges laced with lime juice,
accompanied with walnuts,a bit of chopped red onion,
celery and some Gorgonzola cheese.
Oh- and some lettuce can be found in there!

WITH GUSTS TO 45 MPH. WINDS ARE EXPECTED

AFTERNOON WITH GUSTS TO 60 MPH.

First day of Spring....really?
It's blowing up to 50mph today...
and I could only find this pitiful little pansy
as a sign of spring. It's about 1" in size and
I have to admire it's tenacity in it's stubborn little blossom.

We took an exploratory drive yesterday going
from our home in Weed to Gazelle, hanging a right
and going up to the little town of Etna
via another little town Callahan.
Beautiful sights along the way;

A strong Pacific storm will continue moving into the West Tuesday, renewing rain and high elevation snow from the West Coast through the Intermountain West. This storm will be the first in a series of Pacific storms to hit California over the next week, welcomed news for a state that has endured a mild and dry Winter. Winter Storm Watches and Warnings are posted from the Cascades through the Sierra Nevadas in anticipation of over a foot of new snow. The snowpack in California supplies drinking water and agricultural irrigation for much of the Golden State. The storm will also be intense enough to instigate very strong winds up to 100 mph in the higher elevations of the West.
