Eric- This photo was taken across the street from our house in Lake Oswego- so many flowering plum trees were planted as each house was built. We have a weeping ornamental cherry tree- just about ready to bloom The nice thing about spring here in the NW is that it literally takes 3 months or more for everything to bloom...unlike California where it all blooms together and after just a few weeks- it's all over with!

Beautiful! In Japan they actually have a traditional holiday celebrating cherry blossom time.
