When I drove by Mt. Shasta, I was actually horrified. I had never seen a mountain up close, right from the highway. It was like we were too close to nature. I live near Seattle, with the gorgeous backdrop of Mt. Rainier, but it's pretty secluded, not like Mt. Shasta.
Oh, and this photo depicts exactly what I'm talking about. Great shot.
