Evidently these cherries are so tart
that only the bears will eat them. A friend did make jelly
with them using pectin and apple juice, but it required so
much sugar she never made it again.

Our Welcome Bear is ready to move ....
More than 10 years ago we drove to southern California
with Grace to help her move into her dorm at
Cal State Northridge. On our way back we stopped
in the Redwoods and found this wonderful chainsaw bear.
He took up the entire back of our rental SUV!
Now we are moving to Northern California
not far from where we found him.
