The creative act lasts but a brief moment, a lightning instant of give-and-take, just long enough for you to level the camera and to trap the fleeting prey in your little box.

Photo #5
The Rain Has Returned After many days of freezing weather And stellar blue skies The drip drip drop of rain once again commences... only 5 more months to go!
Hey Eric- I am taking these shots each day- we have a stand of Timber bamboo in our back yard....I can tell already that it will be a challenge for me to take a unique shot each day-but I feel that is what will help me hone my skills with my little Nikon Coolpix S630...hopefully I don't run out of ideas..wasn't real happy with the lake bottom photo-but it was what I came up with! And of course as I will take trips through this year there will be changes of venues, but for the next few months we are stuck in Oregon! Cold be worse! Smiles! Kathe
I love your new photo blog! We are having a huge issue with silt threatening Mirror Pond / Drake Park / Deschutes River that winds its way through Bend. Hang in there.
Kathe thank you so much for your comment on my blog and for giving me the link to this blog. Wonderful! I started a 365 day photo challenge last year and today is 249/365 but I never thought of blogging it! I wish I had now. I was extremely new to blogging then and didn't know if I could keep one going let alone two blogs plus I didn't trust myself ...I thought that I would find my photo challenge too hard and would give up, I had so little faith in myself. maybe I can blog them belatedly ;-) I wish you well with your project and will follow your progress with interest. At about day 10 I thought that I would never find enough subjects but now I am in the last four months of the project and can see that I will easily make it to the end. Best wishes, you will enjoy yourself and if you are like me, you will notice so much more.
OH WOWWW!!! This picture is simply amazing, Kathe!!! Happy monsoon! :) Oh, and by the way, I too started my photoblog just yesterday (after months of contemplation and laziness :) )! Here it is (in case you wish to see)...

Holy bamboo forest, Batman!
Where do you get such a wide diversity of subjects? Certainly not in Oregon!

A daunting project, Kathew. I like the bamboo shot.
Good luck with the rest of the year. Great idea. :-)
