The creative act lasts but a brief moment, a lightning instant of give-and-take, just long enough for you to level the camera and to trap the fleeting prey in your little box.

Finally we are here in Guanajuato. One of my travel desires has been to come to this beautiful and oh so lively city. We'll be here for 6 days and plan to have fun wandering!
Our B and B is close to the Pipila.
The two of us in front of the Pipila. Our room at Casa Zuniga has the same view!
Directly across the street from our B and B is one of the many old churches found in Queretaro. Saint Augustine Church and the Ex-convent that is now an art museum.
Safe arrival in Mexcio City-now on the bus to Queretaro! Courtyard at our Queretaro B and B. Lovely place in the middle of the historic district. http://lacasadelatrio.com/
Yep-it's official-we've got "stuff" in storage that we'll be taking with us when we move. Meanwhile the house has to be free of too much clutter ie: books and art. Imani was a huge help today!
Last sunny day for awhile. I went up to our veggie garden to pull out the last of the tomato plants. There are lots of flowers still blooming, but it's definitely the end of harvesting. Time to put the gardens to bed.
Leaf found on N Mississippi After going to Re-Building to recyle our old bathrom sink, assorted plumbing and building supplies not needed for our bathroom remodel we celebrated our completed project by having a pint across the street at Amnesia Brewery. A job well done!
Remember the Photo #269? We had just begun to remodel our upstairs bathroom. Well- finally it's completed and here's the finished project! Much prettier and more functional than before! In the almost 22 years we have lived here this was the last room to be worked on. And so now we will put it on the market as we want to downsize.
Day of the Dead is coming........... We will be in Guanajuato to celebrate! A few years ago we went to Ocotlan outside of Oaxaca. We were lucky enough to meet this wonderful woman who creates these clay masterpieces. Guillermina Aquilar and her sisters have been creating clay art for years.
The Lake Oswego Garden club sets up all these scarecrows around the community garden space. I think there were at least 100 this year. Every year I get one plunked down in my garden and I always move it away. Not that I don't appreciate their efforts; I just find them creepy.
