The creative act lasts but a brief moment, a lightning instant of give-and-take, just long enough for you to level the camera and to trap the fleeting prey in your little box.

Hi ho the derry-o the chair stands alone....

Does anyone know what this is?

I do remember playing musical chairs indeed.

The plant is a Euphorbia for sure. It looks like what we call her Donkey's Tail.

Our kids had the most unique birthday parties when they were young, including musical chairs! Except in tour home, we did not use kids songs - but preferred some fast 1930s swing music instead. I even posted about it (with music) at:

The chair stood alone, indeed!

Help! Lots of plants about this week. Safer with the chair, unless I fall off.

Where do these chairs come from? Some factory in China? They are everywhere I have ever visited!!!

Musical chairs was always on the list of "must do" for birthday parties! We even played this game when we were teenagers ready to leave school and it was a last get together in a garage! The game was more a memory thing than anything, but still fun! I have no idea what your plant is, but it looks like some kind of succulent!

Ah, but the chair does NOT stand alone. It has shadows for company!

I remember Musical Chairs, and The Farmer in the Dell where "The Cheese Stands Alone"...though it must have been Limburger, or surely someone would have eaten it! Just sayin'...
