The creative act lasts but a brief moment, a lightning instant of give-and-take, just long enough for you to level the camera and to trap the fleeting prey in your little box.

The 23rd year of Oregon Brewers Festival
http://oregonbrewfest.com/

The last full weekend in July will find us and many more
lined up at the multitude of beer taps tasting all the
new delicious brews. We always go the first day so as to
not miss any especially lipsmacking good hoppy beers.
Additionally, another entertaining part of the day
is the people watching and T-shirt reading. Cheers!

Viking beer drinker with two beer dispensers...

Somehow I don't think he's working on his tan...

This is one of the best t-shirts seen this year....

Stuck in traffic? Take photos!

I spent 15 minutes in summer road construction-
there are worse places to be than this bucolic site!

Further on I was at a rather long red light- serendipity strikes again!!
This is the latest Lake Oswego aquisition for it's "Gallery without Walls".
Sculptures are placed around the city in a rotation of two years and
residents vote once a year which one they want to keep.
This elephant was the favorite this year.
I am not sure where this elephant was going-
I assume to it's new site.

Luscher Farm Barn with Sunflower
Meanwhile, back in our neighborhood-our neighbors behind us have added to their backyard barnyard.
Beside the lovely Aracana chickens they now have two Pygmy goats.
They hope to eventually rent out these two
Billy goats (neutered) for brush removal!
In our little city one can have barnyard animals in the backyard as long as they don't weigh more than 45 pounds and that no one complains- and who would? I'd rather hear a little goat going "Baa baa baa" than a noisy dog barking all day long!!! It's rather amusing to me!

Their names are Billy and Noah. Very cute little goats.

Whoops-someone is missing their sunglasses

We've had such a wet cool summer that it's understandable that a person could forget where they left their seldom used sunglassses.

On our second full day Mt Jefferson finally

showed up. This has been a most peculiar

summer so far with cool and wet days.

We still enjoyed paddling in our kayaks and

the following two days were warm and glorious!

My Garden is Growing!

After being gone for 9 days I went

to my little garden yesterday at

Luscher Farm to see what I could pick .

Wow! I had a yellow zucchini, lots of spinach,

kale and basil. Even some more asparagus!

So I made a tasty soup and will make a

dessert today from the rhubarb I pulled out!

Yum-it's good to be home!

One last look before I leave
Yesterday I left Berthoud and drove back to Boulder.
We went to the old town of Golden for dinner
and this gorgeous mesa is above the town.

I fly home this afternoon.
