The creative act lasts but a brief moment, a lightning instant of give-and-take, just long enough for you to level the camera and to trap the fleeting prey in your little box.

The joys of home ownership-

Especially when the roof leaks.
Annoying whan previous owners are less than open
about the house and it's water tight integrity....or not.
We called in a roofer and the roof is now resealed around
the solar panels. When looking in the attic we could see
that the roof had leaked many times before.

Silly question ... didn't the inspection uncover the previous leaks?

Helen- we had it inspected and obviously the guy didn't look up inside the attic space. The owners in the full disclosure section didn't mention it at all. Oh well- give us a year and we'll have this place in ship shape order.

Might you have some redress since the previous owners failed to disclose this?

I think it is just easier to move forward and not argue- by the time all would be said and done-it would be sressful and not worth it- lesson learned is dont trust a building inspector to do their job- instead check it out yourself in addition to the inspector.
Thanks for the suggestion tho-it is a good thought.

What a nuisance for you - I understand your reluctance for a long drawn out battle with previous owners ... but I would query the building inspectors report. They collected a fee to say the building was in order and they were negligent.

I hate the feeling of being cheated. I think you are more grownup than I am. :)
