So deer don't eat potatoes?

This morning I went out to the garden to water
and "Ack" was the first thing out of my mouth....
the second were the words "Greedy bastards"
Deer will eat anything if they want to.....
Hopefully the potatoes will still produce something?

Did you put the wire over before or after the attack? I think they prefer roses but obviously they'll eat whatever is available.
I had the wire on previously and a neighbor told me that I could take it off...stupidly I did...argh
so now the wire is back on and next year I'll put them inside the fenced area.....bad deer bad deer....but the twin fawns are adorable! so we'll eat market tatesr if these dont come back- there's a few green stubs with leaves left-so I have hopes!
