The creative act lasts but a brief moment, a lightning instant of give-and-take, just long enough for you to level the camera and to trap the fleeting prey in your little box.

Photo #24

Fern Shadow on Birch Tree
We planted three of these birch trees in 1996.
Only supposed to grow to 20'...hah...at this
point they are 30'+...guess it's all that rain?
Over time I have planted a variety of ferns
at the base and nearby these lovely trees.
It looks lovely.

This is so cool! Great textures and shapes, and I like the near-absence of color.

Lovely picture there today - I love the bark of a birch tree.

That's very clever, with the fern shadow. I like it!
