The creative act lasts but a brief moment, a lightning instant of give-and-take, just long enough for you to level the camera and to trap the fleeting prey in your little box.

I'm always grateful for people who are willing to get up early for the shots that I would probably miss!

I ONCE HAD A SHADOW

I once had a shadow—or did she have me?
My shadow and I could never agree.
I would say something, she’d say the reverse;
Our arguments flared, my lips I would purse,
Refusing to speak to her anymore—
So my shadow got up and marched out the door!
I have not seen her from that day to this—
That’s one stubborn shadow I surely don’t miss!

I agree, some of the best shots can be found in the early morning. Love the clouds in your picture. Thanks for sharing!

I was up early this morning, but my sky wasn't quite as lovely as this.
Very nice!

Getting up early is easy for me - I have always done so! It's staying up past 9 pm that's hard!

I'm sure glad you got up in time to get this shot - it's beautiful!

I can relate to that! I was up at around 3am one morning last week to catch the lunar eclipse. We are quite mad! Lovely photo and well worth getting up early for :)

Beautiful indeed! I'm not much of an early-riser but on occasion I've caught that morning light and it's just amazing.

Thanks for playing 6WS!
