The creative act lasts but a brief moment, a lightning instant of give-and-take, just long enough for you to level the camera and to trap the fleeting prey in your little box.

The colour of the wood and the the darkness of the shadow make this a rich looking photo. Well done!

Those look like geranium shadows, but I'm probably imagining things...

If shadows could jump,
How high would they go?
As high as the moon?
Does anyone know?

If shadows could weep,
How long would they cry?
As long as it takes
To climb to the sky?

If shadows could laugh
And tell funny jokes
Would you take them home
And say, “Get this, folks!”?

If shadows could wed,
Would they prefer you
Or somebody else
To promise, “I do”?

Love this snap!
The shadow is great of the pot and plant.
Glad you are having a wonderful Summer in Weed!

Yeah our summer here in the Northeast Kingdom was glorious, too. All 8 days of it. Next week the Orleans County Fair comes to town; a certain sign of the beginning of Autumn.

Lovely shadow shot for the day! I love the two kinds of shadows, the very sharp ones and the softer ones. Great contrast and composition! Enjoy the day!
