The creative act lasts but a brief moment, a lightning instant of give-and-take, just long enough for you to level the camera and to trap the fleeting prey in your little box.

Photo #28

Sweet Temptations
As I was readying my camera to take
this photo an older man stepped in
front of me and avidly studied all
the delicious treats before heavily
sighing and leaving without even one.
I think I should have taken his photo.
Maybe later.

I'm not really a cakey type of person but those little square ones look divine!

I'm not a cakey person either-rather have a cookie or better yet some apple pie...those little cakes are Petit-Fours My mother used to serve them at her ladies luncheon bridge parties...waaay back in the 50's!

Some brilliant photographs here. I think my favourites were the fern shadow on the birch tree and the fence shadows, but really everything is impressive.

thanks Dave-I'm really trying to make each days photo unique and memorable- not hohum-
and it is a challenge. If all goes well I will have a show up half way through the year in a co-op gallery in Baker City Oregon...that will keep me focused! hahah
