The creative act lasts but a brief moment, a lightning instant of give-and-take, just long enough for you to level the camera and to trap the fleeting prey in your little box.

Short Term Gallery Cat in Baker City
We are in Baker City this weekend to visit our good friends
Tom and Sarah and for First Friday Gallery openings.
I am the featured artist this month and next at the
artists co-operative Short Term gallery! I have 30 of my
Snap a Day photos in the exhibit. It's great to see them altogether.
Below is a photo of Tom and Sarah in front of my photographs.
Above is the ceramic cat the Tom made for the window ledge
above the gallery.

Hi Kathe ~~ I like your A Snap a Day blog. I hope your pictures show well. That ceramic cat is fine up there but I do hope he is tied down. That would be a terrible whack if it fell and hit someone. :)
..
BTW, my other 'listed' blog is Jim's Little Photo and Poem Place. I might do a 'snap a day' for a month or so on it. You have good ideas.

When I saw the cat on the ledge, the first thing I wanted to say was...Don't Jump! Ha!

Happy Saturday!

Well what fun to have your work shown in a gallery! Congratulations, Kathe!
(I still have a hard time saying "Baker City" because when I moved to Oregon it was then called just Baker.)
