The creative act lasts but a brief moment, a lightning instant of give-and-take, just long enough for you to level the camera and to trap the fleeting prey in your little box.

A stop watch
could measure
how long
it takes
for the disppearence
of our chairs...
poof!

*********We peridiocally put stuff out in front
of our house rather than drag it down
to Goodwill just to see
how long it takes for things to disappear *********
These 5 chairs disappeared in only 2 hours.

This reminds me of a story my brother tells - he arranged to have the council come to pick up his old (beyond repair) fridge, on the day they were due to come to collect (a service for which he had paid for) he took the fridge outside and left it on the pavement; 10 minutes later he left for work, mildly surprised to see the council had already collected the fridge . He thought no more about it until later in the day when he had a telephone call asking for him to clarify his address, the council pick-up couldn't find the fridge!
