The creative act lasts but a brief moment, a lightning instant of give-and-take, just long enough for you to level the camera and to trap the fleeting prey in your little box.

Ewana's Magical Molasses Ginger Cookies

(with a slight twist added by me)**

2/3 cup canola oil, 1 cup sugar

1 egg, 4 T molasses

1 t ground ginger, 1 t cinnamon

2t baking soda, 1/2 t salt

**add zest of one large orange if so desired

Mix ingredients together - add 2 C flour.

Mix well with spoon. Knead just a bit.

Roll into balls, roll in sugar

Bake at 350 degrees C for 9 minutes or more.

Enjoy with a big glass of milk or a pint of Guiness

Thank you so much for sharing this recipe and your time before I left for the party! The cookies were a hit and they traveled very well. These are going to be one of our new favorites—even the kids liked them! xoxo

Thank you so much for sharing this recipe and your time before I left for the party. The cookies were a hit and they traveled in the train extremely well. They looked just baked when I put them on the plate. These are our new favorites—even the kids like them! xoxo
