The creative act lasts but a brief moment, a lightning instant of give-and-take, just long enough for you to level the camera and to trap the fleeting prey in your little box.

Photo #217

Another indicator of a distressed economy
We see these details
 wherever we turn.
I cannot ignore them
and reach out my hand
to help when ever I can.

It is really sad, Kathe ~~ We help some too, with the homeless families and also eat with or help with a couple of feedings of the needy and/or homeless.

On a brighter note, our granddaughter has been visiting for the last couple of weeks:
With granddaughter at the circus--Jim's Six Words for August 4
..
BTW, the circus seems to have hit hard times too. It was not up to the par that I expected.

It is so sad how many things/places look like this now... and how people just overlook them...

It is so sad...and I feel for the homeless people...especially in this awful heat.

With the economy as it is, we have had to help our family and of course we do that first...but we also give through our church to help others.

It is more blessed to give than to receive! We all need to keep giving from a caring heart!

A lot of us need a kick in the rear as we complain about the inconveniences of our lives - too many have a seriously hard time in surviving. Your post is needed - and we need to quit whining and reflect as to what we as individuals can do by not ignoring what is in front of us...

Such a sense of neglect and loneliness in this photo! Very moving with the shadows!
