The creative act lasts but a brief moment, a lightning instant of give-and-take, just long enough for you to level the camera and to trap the fleeting prey in your little box.

We are now in Los Altos visiting dear friends for a few days. They have lived here for 30 years. The old apricot orchard
is in decline due to gophers and oak root fungus.
However, their citrus orchard is still thriving and has an
amazing vaiety of oranges, tangerines limes and lemons!
Citrus heaven!!!! Fresh juice at an arms length!

Our sewer had to be replaced and a lot of it
is under the lake. Two years of seasonal draining
enabled this project to be finished and the lake
will be refilled by rain water. Most likely by May 31st!
Check out my Photos #4 , #6 and #42 for earlier
images of the construtction.

There are a lot of old buildings in Baker City
that are almost beyond repair. This one has
a definite list to the left.

hours of entertainment just watching them.

A must have for a Pacific Northwest garden.
Native plant, drought resistant and bees and birds
love the blossoms and berries. In addition,
they have a wonderful pine forest fragrance.

I do.
Radishes
They behave best for kids.
Gestating quickly for impatient young fingers
Wanting to pull up some edible treasure.
I am still that impatient gardner you bet!
Poring over my list of "must have veggies".
Readying my garden plot and now just waiting.
For the sun to warm the earth........
and seeds to give birth.
